  • There is a greater need than ever for credible data in PR. It helps build stronger strategy, insightful creative and accurate evaluation. Other areas of marketing appear to be very confident in using data, but where does the PR industry stand?

  • A data literacy survey was sent to 40,000 PR people in the US & the UK. 400 long-form responses were received. Data came from in-house budget holders and a variety of levels within agencies. The survey results were launched on-stage at the AMEC conference in Miami. Key insight included that 57% of agency and freelancer PR’s lack confidence in their personal literacy skills, and half of PR practitioners admit to presenting a metric they did not fully understand. Furthermore, nearly all in-house professionals (91%) are willing to invest more in Public Relations if they had more confidence in agency data capability. A page was created on CoverageBook.com to drive links to.
